Dallas — UPDATE Jan. 18: This pair of tickets has been given out. Check your email if you played.
For today's giveaway, we have a pair of tickets to see Chicago's Joffrey Ballet at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Winspear Opera House. The group's appearance here, presented by TITAS, is Jan. 18 and 19, and these tickets are for 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18.
The group will perform a recreation of the Nijinsky original version of Le Sacre du Printemps (The Rite of Spring), to mark its centennial this year. You can read more about that here.
Here's more about the Joffrey performance:
In recognition of the 100th anniversary of Nijinsky’s iconic Le Sacre du Printemps (Rite of Spring), TITAS and the Joffrey are proud to present this classical masterpiece—complete with its original choreography.
Guided by celebrated choreographer Gerald Arpino from 1988 until 2007, and now thriving under Artistic Director Ashley C. Wheater and Executive Director Christopher Clinton Conway, the Joffrey Ballet is one of America’s most recognizable arts institutions—and one of the top dance companies in the world. This season, TITAS and the AT&T Performing Arts Center are proud to welcome the Joffrey Ballet back to Dallas after a 20-year absence.
The Joffrey will also perform Christopher Wheeldon's After the Rain, and Edwaard Liang's Age of Innocence.
To be entered to win the tickets, email tickets@theaterjones.com and put JOFFREY BALLET in the subject line. Put your name, address, phone number and best email contact in the body of email.
You have until 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 to enter. We'll notify the winner first thing Friday morning, so be sure and check your email by 10 a.m. Friday if you played.
