Giveaway: Travelling Light

For today's giveaway, we have lots of tickets to the NT Live screening of National Theatre of London's Travelling Light, a new play by Nicholas Wright (Vincent in Brixton, The Reporter), directed by Anthony Sher. Here's a description (and you can watch the video trailer below):

In a remote village in Eastern Europe, around 1900, the young Motl Mendl is entranced by the flickering silent images on his father’s cinematograph. Bankrolled by Jacob, the ebullient local timber merchant, and inspired by Anna, the girl sent to help him make moving pictures of their village, he stumbles on a revolutionaryway of story-telling. Forty years on, Motl—now a famed American film director—looks back on his early life and confronts the cost of fulfilling his dreams.

We have tickets for three North Texas locations where it will be shown: the Angelika Film Centers in Dallas and Plano, presented in conjunction with By Experience HD; and also at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, where the screenings are presented by Amphibian Stage Productions.

The showings are 2 and 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth; 7 p.m. Feb. 23 and 2 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Angelika Film Center Dallas; and 2 p.m. Feb. 26 and 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Angelika Film Center Plano.

Tickets are normally $20 at the Angelikas and $18 in Fort Worth.
