Dallas — The fourth season for PrismCo, a movement theater company founded by Jeffrey Colangelo and Katy Tye, has been announced.

The group had been producing its shows in warehouses in Trinity Groves, and was one of the first victims of the fire marshal's shut-downs of arts events in such spaces that has plagued other performing arts outfits, several pop-up galleries and an Art Conspiracy event. (You can read more about these closings from our friends at Art&Seek.)

The first show of PrismCo's season, which has a Greek theme, is a wordless look at the legend of Midas, and will happen at the city-run Oak Cliff Cultural Center. The second production is a take on Medea, and the venue will be announced later.

Below are dates and descriptions, with more info. The season is sponsored by The Striped Heart, a video production group run by Adam A. Anderson, who is now a Brierley Acting Company member at Dallas Theater Center.

In MIDAS, audiences will be led through King Midas’ house after he has turned everything in his kingdom to gold. As we follow Midas clowning around throughout his golden home, his fun quirky façade crumbles to reveal a man who has lost everything he holds dear to greed. Soon we discover this is not a mere stroll through a lonely man’s house, but a museum tour through the stages of grief.
