Denton — In case anyone was speculating its demise, Sundown Collaborative Theatre, which has gone through a few leadership changes since Cody Lucas moved to Philly a few years ago, is back for a sixth season. There'll be three shows in 2014. Two of them will be, in classic Sundown tradition, original works created by the company.

Tashina Richardson, who has been with the group from the early days, is the new Artistic Director. The dates and venue for the productions will be announced soon, but the shows and months are set.

Here's more from the Sundown news release, followed by the show breakdown and a video trailer promoting the new season:

...After spending the last several months discussing what is important to our company, we believe we will be able to focus on what we love most about the Sundown process as a whole, and implement that into all types of productions moving forward.

We are proud to be rooted in Denton, which has been home to a flourishing art scene for many years. We are committed to showing that great art can be represented and supported in the DFW theatre community. In fact, we love our city so much that we’ll be offering a myriad of discounts throughout our season for audience members who support other local businesses. Stay tuned for more from Sundown Collaborative Theatre, and check out the productions for our 6th season below.
