The 2013-'14 season for Casa Mañana's Broadway season has been announced. The major musicals include Big River, Cats and Always...Patsy Cline, but the big surprise is a new play that will be timed with the 50th anniversary commemorations of John F. Kennedy Jr.'s assassination in Dallas, called Oswald: The Actual Interrogation.
The play by Dennis Richard is taken from reports and transcripts from the 48 hours in which Lee Harvey Oswald was in custody following the assassination, before he was killed by Jack Ruby. The show will have its area premiere here.
The season also includes special engagements of an evening with the "Bad Boys of Broadway" and the return of Red, White and Tuna. Casting for the latter hasn't been announced yet, but know that it probably won't be with Jaston Williams and Joe Sears, who have retired from performing in the Tuna plays.
