Michele Gifford and Dallas Blagg will perform a pas de deux for Avant Chamber Ballet at the Dallas DanceFest

Dallas — For today's giveaway we have several pairs of tickets to the opening performance of the Dallas DanceFest, on Friday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. at Dallas City Performance Hall. The event is three days, and features showcases of local and Texas companies on Friday and Saturday nights, with the Dance Council Honors and more performances on Sunday.

These tickets are for Friday. Performers that night are: Dallas Ballet Company, Ewert & Company, Indique Dance Company, Rhythmic Souls, Dallas Black Dance Theatre II, Dark Circles Contemporary Dance, Texas Ballet Theater, Southern Methodist University Meadows Dance Ensemble and Dallas Black Dance Theatre.

(Saturday performers are Chamberlain Performing Arts, Chado Danse, Houston METdance, Avant Chamber Ballet, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts Rep I and II companies, Tarrant County College Movers Unlimited, Mejia Ballet International, Bruce Wood Dance Project; to buy tickets go here.)
