Dallas — In the latest Zoom interview series with local arts makers, Mark Lowry chats with the three leaders of Kitchen Dog Theater: Co-artistic directors Tina Parker and Christopher Carlos, and managing director Tim Johnson. In the interview, they discuss the upcoming 30th season, which includes the drive-in event Get Up, Stand Up! A Drive-In Celebration of Democracy, happening in the parking lot of their new Design District space, on Saturday nights Oct. 17, 24 and 31, plus Election Night, Nov. 3. You can learn more about that here.
They also give us some scoop about the space and its planned renovation, as well as other events in the 30 season, which, as Parker points out, is a "Subject to Change" season because of the COVID-19 shutdowns and uncertainty from all arts groups about the coming year. They also discuss responding to #BlackLivesMatter and the We See You, White American Theater document.
