Dallas — In the latest episode of Gregorian Rants, TheaterJones chief music and opera critic Gregory Sullivan Isaacs chats with Gary Levinson, who is the Senior Principal Associate Concertmaster for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the artistic director for the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth, and helps program the salon concert series Blue Candlelight Music with his wife, pianist Baya Kakouberi, the artistic director.
Levinson is soon to add another producing series on his résumé, with a series coming at the new(ish) Kawai Piano Gallery in Plano, which has a small auditorium for performances. Coming this weekend, Levinson is holding auditions at the Kawai for the Josef Gingold Chamber Music Festival in Miami. The auditions are Saturday, March 30, 2019. Winning candidates will be offered a scholarship to study with faculty from Juilliard, Manhattan and Colburn Schools of Music as well as other prominent educational institutions.
