Campaign: To help digitize and archive the work and history of one of North Texas' most unique theater companies, Fort Worth's, Hip Pocket Theatre, which is nearly 40 years old.
Crowdfunding platform: Kickstarter
Ends: 11:59 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013
More info: Fort Worth's Hip Pocket Theatre has one of the richest histories of any local theater, dedicated mostly to original work by co-founder Johnny Simons, who along with his wife Diane and the late Douglas Balentine founded the scrappy group on the west side of Cowtown in 1977. Johnny and Diane's daughters, Lorca and Lake Simons, have gone on to continue theater work in New York and elsewhere. This project is to help move the archives to a digital platform and preserve the history of this unique ensemble. Click the link below for more info.
