Lily & Joan Theatre Company present an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Director and Lily & Joan Co-Founder Emily P. Faith leads a team of womxn and gender nonconforming artists, putting a relevant twist on a classic tale.
“In this production, the audience and actors alike are forced to think about how each individual character fights for power”, says Morgan Haney, who plays Puck, “you can’t chalk it up to gender norms.”
As per their mission, Lily & Joan will be donating 50 percent of all ticket sales to Genesis Women’s Shelter. Tickets for the entire run will be Pay-What-You-Want and are on sale now.
“It is imperative that when we discuss the importance of ‘room at the table’, we are also intentionally creating space for our audience members,” said Emily P. Faith, Co-Founder. “And even going a step further than creating the space, creating opportunity for equal portions.”
