The Dallas Comedy House (DCH) announces the debut of their latest live sketch revue: Suspect: A True Crimedy, a sketch comedy show inspired by true crime stories. Fans of Serial, My Favorite Murder, and Parks & Recreation are sure to enjoy this show about a big crime in a small town. The hour long event will run Fridays and Saturdays at 9:00 PM for five weeks, starting on August 18th. Reviewing press are invited to attend opening night.
“The true crime genre has always intrigued audiences, in the form of television, films and lately even podcasts,” said Jade Smith, director of the show. “We tasked ourselves with creating a sketch show that would offer a comedic, satirical take on the genre, while building suspense and mystery.”
This narrative sketch show follows podcast host Gregory Stoke as he investigates the death of small town charmer Barry Forester. Along the way, Stoke meets a crazy cast of characters living in this small town. One by one, he begins to suspect them of murder.
