Gun Show is an original play created with input from the Drama students of TWU and written by Associate Professor Steven Young. TWU Drama students worked over the summer and fall researching America’s love, obsession and anxiety with guns and gun culture and how these forces affect society. Gun Show presents a kaleidoscopic collection of scenes and vignettes that explore our sometimes funny, sometimes ambivalent and often times terrifying relationship with guns. Inspired by recent events, as well as by the students own complex connection with guns, Gun Show is sure to inspire debate. Dr. Patrick Bynane directs this new piece with help from undergraduate student Riley Payne serving as assistant director. Gun Show will also travel abroad to the 2017 Edinburgh International Fringe Festival this August.
