UT Dallas' School of Arts and Humanities and The Galerstein Women's Center in Partnership with No Passport and Missing Bolts productions present After Orlando.
This play reading event will showcase a selection of mini plays written in response to the Pulse Night Club Shooting in Orlando this summer. The 3 to 5 minute plays run the gamut concerning the LGBT experience: balancing hope and fear, standing up for your true self, and pushing forward.
Caridad Svich and No Passport started this initiative, which includes a collection of plays written by respected playwrights all over the globe. After Orlando play readings are happening across the country in various venues from September to December. UTD's play reading will feature 15 writers, including four local playwrights.
UT Dallas Rainbow Guard will collect donations on behalf of The Resource Center, Dallas. This event is held in collaboration with the Galerstein Women's Center celebration of National Coming Out Day.
