To open its 34th season, Undermain Theatre presents the World Premiere of so go the ghosts of méxico, part 2, Matthew Paul Olmos's second play in an epic trilogy of different stories examining the US/Mexico drug wars. It looks at the power shifts within two warring drug cartels, performed entirely by a female cast through drama, song, and dance. Matthew Paul Olmos was chosen by Sam Shepard as the inaugural recipient of La Mama’s Ellen Stewart Emerging Playwright Award for the 1st part of so go the ghosts of méxico, the second installment was workshopped at Sundance Theatre Lab in 2014 and Undermain is pleased to present the world premiere of this timely and evocative play.
Undermain Artistic Director Katherine Owens leads a creative team which includes Designer John Arnone, Lighting by Steve Woods, Choreographer Danielle Georgiou, Composer Marios Aristopoulos, Costumes by Amanda Capshaw, and Properties by Linda Noland.
