The three works to be performed on this concert indeed represent “Nationalism beyond the Nation.” While this is clearly recognizable nationalistic material, the music from these composers presents the listener with a truly universal theme of beauty and breadth.
CMSFW Artistic Director, Gary Levinson, violin, will be joined by violinistFrancesca dePasquale. Ms. dePasquale has been described by critics as “a mature artist fully formed at a young age and equal to any challenge.”—Peninsula Reviews. She is the recipient of a 2014-2016 career grant from the Leonore Annenberg Fellowship Fund for the Performing and Visual Arts at the University of Pennsylvania and was recently named “New Artist of the Month” by MusicalAmerica. Two members of the Amernet Quartet, Michael Klotz, viola andJason Calloway, cello join the ensemble on this musical journey.
