Lindsay Alissa King grew up in the Dallas area but spent many years living elsewhere before returning to Dallas. Lindsay has a Ph.D. in history from UCLA. Her research concerns the history of Jewish masculinity in dance and theater criticism and journalism. She currently works as a freelance writer and editor for arts initiatives in the Dallas area and beyond, and she reports on global dance news for the docu-series Ballet Rising. She is currently an adjunct instructor, and she is also passionate about expanding historical and arts education. She is involved in several projects that are designed to achieve this goal. Her work for these projects ranges from online curation, program planning to enrich arts and humanities networks, and writing for a research center that aims to introduce historical thinking to policymakers.
