With a BFA in opera from the UC College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, his performance background includes stints with the Cincinnati Opera, the Minnesota Opera, and various churches throughout the Midwest. He now works as a vocal coach and instructor at the Dallas Academy of Music and Performing Arts, where he also teaches classes in musical theater.
He also holds a BA in journalism from the University of Cincinnati and a MA in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University. After working as a reporter and arts writer for The Cincinnati Enquirer, he worked as a freelance journalist for five years, covering topics ranging from the arts to local politics.
