Ariel Monticure is a Fort Worth native, ballerina, and journalist. She began her training at age 5 with former North Pacific Ballet soloist, Victoria Fedine. Since then she has studied at School of Texas Ballet Theatre, Dallas Metropolitan Ballet, Milwaukee School of Ballet, The School of American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Center of Fort Worth, and STEPS on Broadway. Monticure has performed works in the fields of musical theatre with Casa Mañana’s Bass Hall Productions, ballet, and modern. She graduated in 2015 from Southern Methodist University with a B.F.A in Dance Performance and a minor in Journalism. Her choreography and performance has been featured in a dance film staged in New York City. The film will be shown at several film festivals in the upcoming year. Currently she is a full-time faculty member at Ballet Center of Fort Worth and developing her own dance project, Avoir Motion.
