Danielle Georgiou is a choreographer, dancer, director, writer, and educator based in Dallas, TX. Danielle is the Founder/Artistic Director of the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group (DGDG), a dance theatre group that works within the ideas of contemporary dance and physical theatre. DGDG’s work has been performed throughout Texas, California, Oklahoma, and Oregon, and was recently voted Best Dance Troupe by the Dallas Observer. DGDG’s 2015 production, The Show About Men, was named Best New Play/Musical and cited for Outstanding Creative Contribution for Choreography by the Dallas Fort Worth Theater Critics Forum Awards; NICE (2014), which premiered as part of AT&T Performing Arts Center’s Elevator Project, also won for Choreography. Danielle is the Program Coordinator for Dance at Eastfield College, where she has been developing an entry-level dance training program for students. Danielle has written for The Dallas Morning News, the Dallas ObserverDance/USA, and is currently a contributor to KERA's Art&Seek and TheaterJones.
