When Cass discovers a shockingly dirty little secret in her husband's sweater drawer, our heroine has no choice but to flee to the honeymoon capital of the world in a frantic search for the life she thinks she’s missed out on. It’s a wild ride over Niagara Falls in a barrel of laughs as Cass embarks on a journey of self-discovery that has her crossing paths with a blithely suicidal alcoholic, a lonely tour-boat captain, a pair of bickering private detectives, and a strange caper involving a gargantuan jar of peanut butter, all of which pushes her perilously close to the water's edge in this hilarious tragicomedy of marital discord run amok. Directed by Mikey Abrams.

Sometimes it takes a blackout to see the light. A star-crossed prophecy.  Two charming sisters and a luckless sandwich maker.  A lot of music.  Just not a lot of light.  Conceived by Kim Rosenstock (Tigers Be Still) and written by her with songwriters Will Connolly and Michael Mitnick, this darkly comic and rock-musical romance follows a trio of young New Yorkers as they pine for love, and grope for flashlights, in the epic blackout of 1965.

Mixing classical tragedy with savage comedy, it follows a group of flawed men and women in a narrative of greed and loss which reviews the tumultuous 1990s and casts a new light on the financial turmoil in which the world finds itself in 2009.

IN THE HEIGHTS tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York's Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It's a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind. IN THE HEIGHTS is the winner of the 2008 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Score, Choreography and Orchestrations.

This Tony award-winning romantic comedy drama from the author of “Driving Miss Daisy” follows the Freitag family, owner of the Dixie Bedding Company, in Atlanta, December, 1939.   Gone with the Wind is about to premiere, and news of Hitler invading Poland is all over town, but the only important event for local Jews is Ballyhoo, a lavish cotillion at their exclusive Standard Club.  Wealthy Beulah “Boo” Levy is desperate for her plain daughter Lala to get a date for the dance, especially since Lala's attractive cousin, Sunny, from Wellesley College is going with a New Yorker named Joe Farkas. But it turns out Joe is a working class Jew from Brooklyn, and when he encounters snobbery and prejudice at the club, he walks out.  Will Sunny and Joe avoid the land mines of prejudice in their way? Will Lala ever get to Ballyhoo? The family gets pulled apart and then mended together with comedy, romance and revelations. Directed by Bruce Coleman.

Fun House Theatre and Film brings a girl-powered black comedy to the stage this May with its production of Daffodil Girls, Inspired by David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross. An ensemble of 8 young actresses ranging in age from 7-14 tackle the cadence, super realism and bleak satire of Mamet’s original work, set against the backdrop of a familiar rite of passage, the cookie sale. Acted by the ensemble as a drama, the comedy in the production comes from moving the high stakes world of Mamet’s real estate office to the tree house of the Daffodil Girls without removing any of the ugliness, desperation or conflict. Jeff Swearingen’s adaptation of the story is an homage to the original work, Mamet’s style and the actors who immortalized the roles on film.
